PFF Chairman in FIFA Committee

Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat achieved another milestone when he was appointed  Member of Disciplinary Committee of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). According to FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke, Faisal Saleh Hayat met the new Designation during FIFA Executive Committee Meet in Robben Island, Cape Town (South Africa).” Please accept sincere congratulations  from FIFA Chief Sepp Blatter and myself. On this designation FIFA wish you success and enjoyment in your future activities for FIFA,’ added Valcke.

The game of football in Pakistan took long 63 years to confer a marvelous award on PFF Office-bearer. He is also the only person to hold the unique and unprecedented honor of having been elected in one of the FIFA Committees and Judicial Bodies. It is big landmark to get berth in FIFA Disciplinary Committee, headed by Swiss lawyer Marcel Mathier. FIFA has 208 member associations, which is 16 more than the United Nations and three more than the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

FIFA Chief has lauded the priceless contributions of Faisal Saleh Hayat for the promotion of football in Pakistan and said lately football was on a upward trend in Pakistan.” Pakistan has come a long way in terms of level of competitiveness in the last six years and PFF management deserves praise for making solid efforts for the promotion of football’, said Blatter hoping “I firmly believe that PFF would continue its journey in right direction under the leadership of Faisal”.

This is yet another exhilarating news for Pakistan football as PFF Chief was elected as Chairman of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Disciplinary Committee on 15 July 2009 and now he is in FIFA. It is welcome gift for national football body of Pakistan as PFF Chief deserved such reward following his untiring efforts to promote soccer in Pakistan ,” said PFF’s Secretary General Lt.Col ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi who added that it was first time in entire 63-year history of PFF that country’s soccer official becomes the member of FIFA Standing Committee.

And we all are proud of him for flying PAKISTAN's flag high and promoting positive and good image of Pakistan.
