Drawback even before kick off for Super Football League

soccertournament What was organizers thinking? Weren’t they able to do their homework before actually finalizing the dates for upcoming Super Football League. Starting a local league when you even know that all football fans around the world are involved in the hype of FIFA World Cup. Organizers, representatives from Sponsors ( Geo Super, Pakistan Football Federation, KESC) unveiled the fixtures, and details for the event in press conference at local hotel on Thursday 3rd June.

Total 5 teams will be participating including, defending champions Islamabad United, Karachi Energy, Lahore Lajpaals, Quetta Zorawar, and Tribal FC Peshawar. This event will surely going to boost the profile of the game locally but we are not sure whether their will be enough crowd to support their team since opening match is clashing with FIFA World Cup schedule. Both are starting on 11th of June. Unless football fans can take their time out and support local heroes.

An experienced National Playmaker, Muhammad Essa will represent Karachi Energy but it will disappointing for the fans of Jaffar Khan who is not featuring in the tournament. Geo Super is going to telecast all the matches which will take place in Peoples Stadium, Lyari.
