Three Pakistani football officials returned last week from Sri Lanka after attending a four-day seminar on Regional Beach Football held at Kaluthara from August 20-23.
The Director Technical of the PFF Sajjad Mehmood, coach Zafar Iqbal and Asghar Anjum attended the seminar. Zafar Iqbal will now be able to work as a head coach of the national team during any international beach competition.
An official of the PFF said that the beach football competitions will be started in the country from next year. We are going to start it from Karachi.

It does provide an excellent and yet another opportunity for people living in Lyari area, often called as Mini-Brazil due to the production of most national players. Since Lyari and adjacent area is near the sea and they will have a natural training facility in terms of sand.
